The City, Abridged
Half a minute of a city that took considerably longer to build. Noor tells the full version on the day, with the dull bits already edited out.
The storyline
How The Afternoon Unfolds
Three chapters, driven in the order the city wrote them: Heritage, Horizon, Ambition. Noor narrates, you drive, and the buildings get taller every chapter.

14:30 0114:30 · Heritage
Before the skyline, there was a creek and a great many boats.
Check-in done and the car explained, you press Begin Classic Drive while still parked, and Noor takes it from there. The route opens beside Dubai Creek and winds through Al Raffa and Bur Dubai, with short stories of traders, wooden dhows and the families who were here first. There is no quiz afterwards. Probably.

15:25 0215:25 · Horizon
Then the city turns round and notices the sea.
The road follows Jumeirah’s coastline while Noor talks about the city’s long relationship with the Gulf. Landmarks get a line each as they pass, never a lecture. The best one is being saved for the next stop, and she will not be talked out of it.

16:40 0316:40 · Ambition
Somewhere around Sheikh Zayed Road, the skyline stops being modest.
The route turns inland past Mall of the Emirates and up Sheikh Zayed Road toward Downtown, while Noor explains how a trading town became an international destination in roughly one lifetime. The towers keep getting taller. So does the story.

18:20 0418:20 · The Future
Three chapters, one city, and the ending is still being written.
On the way back Noor ties Heritage, Horizon and Ambition together while the Museum of the Future and the Dubai Frame slide past the window. The app confirms Dubai in Three Chapters Complete, and both photographs are saved before you have even parked.
Debrief
Chapter Closed
You come back with two photographs worth framing, a head full of facts you will repeat at dinner as though you always knew them, and a new respect for a creek. Check-out takes minutes. Dillon checks in tomorrow, mostly to ask which chapter was your favourite.
That is one of five. There are four more, and we have said too much already.
